How long will it take to build my home?

  • Allow 3-4 weeks to close on your construction loan. Construction of the actual structure depends variables such as weather, labor, materials, inspections, size of the home, customization done to the home and more. Typically, it takes between 3-7 months from start to finish. We can help create a timeframe that applies to your specific project.

How do I choose my Home Builder ?

  • The problem is there is no foolproof way of making the right choice. Ultimately, it comes down to trust. Do not get involved with a home builder you do not trust, regardless of how attractive the price. You also want experience, competence, service, and value for your money. If you find a good builder whom you can trust, and he or she has a reputation for pleasing clients, being efficient and fair on pricing, this is the builder you probably want.

Will we have to move out during our remodel?

  • Remodeling can be inconvenient and messy, especially when it comes to living spaces like kitchens and bathrooms. However, most of our projects are completed while our clients occupy their homes. Our clients find our team of craftsmen to be very courteous, and accommodating. But, if your project is extensive, it may become more practical for you to temporarily move out. we will discuss your specific situation with you prior to scheduling your project.

What is the cost per square foot?

  • Well that depends, what do you mean by square foot? Different builders figure their square footage differently so, comparing sq ft prices may not give you the whole picture. This really depends on area, house plan, foundation requirements, plan changes, types of floors, fixtures, upgrades and more. We need to narrow in on the exact area of town, plan, and more to give you a better educated estimate of your home on your lot.

Why is it important to hire a general contractor for my remodeling project?

  • A general contractor assumes responsibility for the workmanship at all stages to ensure your project satisfies all state and local building codes. A general contractor also serves as a single point of contact and manages all aspects of your remodeling project. You should always request that your general contractor obtain the building permits. This is because the person who “pulls the permit” is considered liable for ensuring that all completed work complies with the state and local building codes.
